Gold, also called Golden, is a hatch result. The animal comes out golden. There is no item that applies it. Golden results were seen from a Tiger Egg, a Planet Egg, and on animals including a capybara and a top earner whose info line said Gold. A golden capybara at 12 and a Golden Retriever were still deleted as low earners. Odds, rerolls, and any multiplier are not documented. The official text says mutations, plural, and no second name is confirmed.

Hatch a placed egg. Any documented egg type can be the one that rolled it. No egg is exclusive.
How do you use Gold?
Keep or sell by the cash label. Do not clear the plot of ordinary animals just to chase a golden color, and do not delete a strong ordinary animal to hold a weak golden one.
